My mom made me apple-carrot muffins today! They are yummy!
Here is the recipe if you want to make some for your pony:
Baked Apple-Carrot Muffins
6 cups carrots, shredded
6 apples, shredded
2/3 cup molasses
2 cups flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
6 packets Quaker instant oatmeal (I prefer the apple/cinnamon ones)
Topping:
peppermints *optional
dried apple rings *optional
Directions:
Preheat over to 400 degrees. Generously grease a muffin tin. Mix carrots and apples into a bowl with molasses, brown sugar, water, flour and oatmeal. Mixture should have a thick and doughy consistency. Scoop dough into a muffnin tin, sprinkle each muffin with brown sugar and bake in the over for 30-50 minutes until well cooked. Top with apple rings or peppermints. (If you add the peppermints about 10 mins before the muffins are done, they will melt and form a crunchy candy top)
See, I told you I'd be back. Mom says "the pony needs to eat" (which is true! I do need to eat... and like to!) so go check out her Cafe Press shop and buy some t-shirts!

If you like Morgans or Saddlebreds or ride saddleseat then these are the shirts for you! Mom says she's going to make some with Me on them in the future so you have that to look forward to! In the meantime, go check the current ones out... and buy a few so Mom can buy me snacks. I love snacks! :)
(Pardon my fuzziness here. I did spend all winter in South Dakota!)
So I don't know how much I'm going to have to say, but my new mom thought I should have my own blog just in case I had something to say, so now I'm faced with the question, "What should I say?" I guess I could start with the basics... I'm a Morgan mare and right now I'm 5 years old. I was born in Piedmont, South Dakota and lived there with my mom and dad and various siblings and other ponies until earlier this year when I moved to sunny Southern California.
Here's a picture of me as a baby. Wasn't I cute?
So far I really like California. It's warm and there's none of that annoying snow on the ground. My new mom says we never get snow here, which will be weird, but at least I won't get all fuzzy this winter :)
So is that a good start? I'll try and think of something more interesting to write next time. I'll also post more pictures. I'm super cute, so my mom takes lots and lots of pictures...
